3 Uses For Your Phone You Haven’t Considered

Almost everyone is walking around with a modern phone in their pockets these days, and many of us aren’t making as much use of it as we could be. Modern phones are capable of so much, and if you’re only using them for making calls and social media, there’s so much that you’re missing out on. That’s not to say that it’s wasted, but if you’re going to spend out on the latest and greatest models, then you might as well make sure you know what you’re buying, and you’re getting your money’s worth.

Starting a career or hobby

Your phone is more than just a personal item, it can be used as a means of making an income. Modern phones come equipped with powerful cameras, that can be used to kickstart a new photography hobby. You might be surprised at the quality of images that some of the newest phone models are capable of producing, and if photography is something you’re interested in – it might be worth taking that into consideration for your next phone investment. Of course, a phone with a powerful camera isn’t going to come cheap, but you can compare the price to what a camera would cost you, even if you bought a cheaper phone.

Aside from photography, there are more creative hobbies you can take up with your phone. iPhone owners have access to apps like Procreate, which is a popular and growing digital art software that many professional artists are making use of. While it might seem like you have limited space to work with on just a phone screen, it could be a good opportunity to practice your artistic skills. Android users also have access to paid apps like Clip Studio Paint, which can be a great alternative if you’re looking for ways to practice.

Learning a language

If you’re looking for something productive to do with your phone, such as learning an important life skill – your phone can offer that. Apps like Duolingo offer courses on almost every language you could want to learn, and it’s made simple and easy for anyone to pick up. While it’s not the most advanced form of learning a language, it can help you get started and pick up a basic understanding of how the language works. It’s free, easy to use, and it doesn’t take much time to get something out of it on a daily basis.

Gaming

With modern phones, there’s plenty of space and capabilities for online gaming, and there are plenty of mainstream games that have taken that route. No matter the genre of game you like, whether it’s something short and simple like doddle.me, or something that can take a lot of time like League of Legends: Wild Rift – there’s something for you. If you’ve never tried it on your phone before, you might be surprised at what modern phones are capable of, and it’s worth giving it a try when many of these games are free.
